Intercultural Studies Websites

Websites provide a wide range of information varying in quality. Websites are useful for locating current news, information from various organizations, and opinions concerning a wide variety of subjects. Unlike books and periodicals, websites are not reviewed by any outside source or publishing body and must be carefully reviewed to determine legitimacy.

Operation World
This web site accompanies the well known Operation World prayer guide. The web site provides searchable access to information on the countries of the world and provides information on the country which is the prayer focus of the day. This web site does not duplicate all of the information available in the book form.
Joshua Project
Joshua Project focuses on providing information concerning the least-reached peoples of the world. Prayer needs, demographic information, and information on available evangelism resources are included.
Lausanne Movement
Lausanne is a "worldwide movement that mobilizes evangelical leaders to collaborate for worldwide evangelization." Their website provides access to information about their gatherings, a variety of publications and documents, multimedia resources, and more.
World Council of Churches
World Council of Churches is a fellowship of 349 churches which seek unity among Christians. Ecumenical in their views and approach, the World Council of Churches provides a variety of resources and programmes for Christians around the world.
Unleashed for the Unreached
This website is geared toward engaging churches in the important work on reaching the unreached people groups of the world for Christ.
Global Prayer Digest
This webpage is affiliated with the monthly prayer magazine by the same name. Daily devotions and prayer requests are posted for unreached people groups around the world. This resource is useful for research, as it is searchable by country or people group and provides insights into the work being done and yet to be done.
International Orality Network
The International Orality Network is a group of agencies working together to make the Bible available to primarily oral learners around the world.
