Instructions and resources for completing the country project for Introduction to the Purpose of the Church.

First Look

For the following section, you will be focusing on the specific country of your choice to gain an overview of the country.

Look up your country in volume 1 of the World Christian Encyclopedia and read the encyclopedia article.

In the chart linked below, note specific facts or information which grab your attention or make you say "Wow!" under the 5 main article headings:  Country, Human Life and Liberty, Non-Christian Religions, Christianity, and Church and State.

Write one or two additional sentences describing your personal reaction to the encyclopedia article.

Using the First Look Charts linked below, create a brief history of your country focusing on events and people that have had an impact or influence, either postiive or negative, for world missions and ministry.  For example, include what other countries have ruled your country, previous names of your country, major wars or conflicts, changes in government, an important leader, and the leader's accomplishments.
