Turabian

Introduction

This guide exists to help Lincoln Christian University students utilize A Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations: Chicago Style for Students and Researchers, 9th edition, commonly known as Turabian, to write research papers using the Author-Date style of citations.  This guide does not take the place of owning and referencing a complete copy of this manual.  Instead, this guide serves to provide specific guidelines adopted or suggested by Lincoln Christian University for our campus.

When using Turabian the first question to answer is if you are using the Author-Date style of citations or the Notes-Bibliography style.

For questions not answered here, please consult the guides listed below, contact the library, or check with your course professor.

Please note that the examples listed here do not conform to the spacing guidelines found in Turabian due to the variations in the size of computer and device screens. See the Formatting page for an exact example.
