How Do I Find Dissertations, Doctoral Projects, and Theses?

A guide to assist you in locating and accessing dissertations and theses through the Jessie C. Eury Library.

ERIC indexes a wide variety of resources including articles, books, chapters from books, and dissertations.  Searches may be limited to dissertations by following the directions on the Limit Search to Dissertations tab.

Keep in mind information about dissertations in ERIC is taken from ProQuest Dissertations necessitating care be taken when ordering items.  Information on ordering dissertations found in ERIC is also found on this page.

Limit Search to Dissertations

To limit searches to Dissertations, scroll down to Limit Your Results under Basic or Advanced Search. Select Dissertations/Theses in the Publication Type box.

For more information about the records your search finds, including an abstract, click the title.

After the abstract information, a link appears about how to order a copy via ProQuest. Sometimes previews of an item are available. Any charges for orders are the responsibility of the individual patron. Most dissertations and theses are available via Interlibrary Loan. Contact a librarian or copy this record into the interlibrary loan form.

Obtaining Dissertations found in ERIC

Dissertations found via ERIC may be requested using the Interlibrary Loan request form found in EBSCOhost or the Lincoln Christian University Interlibrary Loan form.  Please note in the comment field that you desire the full dissertation.
