Get It!

Information on using Get It! to obtain resources from the Jessie C. Eury Library and other libraries.

The Jessie C. Eury Library offers several ways to get the books and resources you need for your courses using "Get It!."

Get It! has several options for requesting items depending on

  • Where you live or How frequently you are on campus,

  • What item you want,

  • Where that item is, and How you want it delivered.

Where you live makes a big difference in How you can get items.

Locate the best description of where you live (Near LCU, In Illinois, In the U.S., or Outside of the U.S.) and read that section for more information. 

 

Near LCU

If you come to campus for classes or live within driving distance of Lincoln, IL, the best way to obtain books and other resources is in person. 

Pick Up in the Library:  

  • You can use Get It! From LCU or From I-Share and request books be delivered to the Jessie C. Eury Library.
  • You can also Get It! from Other Libraries and pick those books up in person. 

Books to You:

  • Do you come to campus but can't come directly to the Jessie C. Eury Library due to scheduling?
  • That's okay! You can use our Books to You option to have books or equipment delivered to your classroom. 

In Illinois

If you live in Illinois but don't come to campus regularly for class: 

Pick up books at the I-Share library nearest you: 

  • No matter where you live, there is an I-Share library near you! In Get It! From LCU or Get It! From I-Share, select the I-Share Library Closest to You!
  • Not sure what library is near you? Consult the map of I-Share libraries below or contact the Jessie C. Eury Library for assistance.
  • You will need to have an LCU ID card.

Mail Delivery:

  • If we determine there is not an I-Share library conveniently located to you, Mail Delivery is an option we will consider.
  • Please note that Mail Delivery adds up to a week in delivery time and you are responsible for return shipping charges.

In the U.S.

If you live in the U.S. but outside of Illinois:

Mail Delivery: 

  • We will mail books to your home when you select Mail: Outside of Illinois.
  • Please remember to order books in plenty of time to get there and that are you responsible for return shipping charges.

Find a Library Near You:

  • Contact the library for assistance in locating the resource you need at a library near you!
  • You may be able to borrow the book at a Reciprocal or Partner library throughout the United States or use interlibrary loan at your local public library. 
  • You will want an LCU ID card.

Note: If you live near or within driving distance of Illinois, you are encouraged to see if an I-Share Library is near you!

Outside of the U.S.

If you live outside of the United States:

Contact the Jessie C. Eury Library for assistance in locating the resources you need. 

  • We may have a Reciprocal or Partner library near you.
  • We may be able to determine alternate ways to provide you access to the material.

LCU ID Card

To request an LCU ID card, log-in to the LCU Intranet with your LCU username and password.

After logging in, click on Help Desk. Scroll down to LCU Password, ID card and select Regarding LCU ID Card.
