The Jessie C. Eury Library is delighted to announce the receipt of a nearly $14,000 grant from the Illinois State Library funded by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The Transforming Access to Resources Grant is providing new technology resources to benefit LCU students and faculty.  All items listed below will be available for LCU patrons to check out of the Library.

  • 2 Video Creation kits which include an external web camera, video lighting, lavelier microphone, tripod, and reversible green/blue screen
  • 10 new laptops that students can use outside of the Library (5 HP and 5 mac)
  • 18 new headset/microphone combinations for online classes as well as viewing and listening
  • 5 external CD/DVD drives
  • Portable video projector and screen

In addition to providing the new equipment, the Library will be hosting several workshops in the spring highlighting how to use the new video creation kits to create videos and presentations or to use in online job interviews.

Our thanks to Jeremiah Proctor and the IT staff for their assistance in ordering and processing these items.
