Off-Campus Access

A guide demonstrating how to access Jessie C. Eury Library resources from off-campus.

Off-Campus Access

Current LCU students, faculty, and staff may access the Jessie C. Eury Library's online resources from off-campus.

1. Select the Library database or research tool of your choice on the Library website.

2. When prompted, enter your LCU network username and Password.

Note: Only type in your username which is before the @ sign in your LCU email address.

Select the visual below to view a video demonstration of off-campus access.

Your username and password is the same information you use to login to the learning management system or to your email.

Your Username and Password allows access to all library databases until your internet connection is closed.

Note:  If you "save" your password in your browser, you will need to update this information when you change your password.

Problems with Off-Campus Access?

While Library staff are willing to assist you in accessing the library's databases from off-campus, some factors are outside of the library's control.

  • Some ISPs (Internet Service Providers) may block the proxy server.
  • Personal firewalls can prevent access.

Not prompted for a username and password? Problem is port 2048 is blocked or your ISP doesn't allow proxies.

Library staff and CT staff at LCU can not assist you in working with your ISP or personal firewall software.
