Faculty Resources & Services

A guide for faculty regarding Library Resources and Services for them.

What needs Copyright Permission?

Everything needs copyright permission but some things require additional permission.

1. If an item is available in Full Text through the Jessie C. Eury Library, creatng a link to that resources does NOT require additional permission and is recommended.

2. Any article NOT available in Full Text that you wish to post in Canvas needs copyright permission and copyright clearance fee paid.

3. More than One Chapter and/or 10% of a book usually needs copyright permission and copyright clearance fee paid.

Note: Copyright Clearance Fees must be paid each semester an item is used.

How to Obtain Copyright Permission?

The Jessie C Eury Library is available to help you seek Copyright Permission.

When you have an item that you may want to use that is not in full text, contact the Library. We will help you determine if copyright should be obtained and consider available options.

If copyright permission is needed and copyright clearance fees paid, the Jessie C. Eury Library can help facilitate that through the Copyright Clearance Center. When appropriate the Library may decide to purchase the ebook or subscribe to a journal.

We are here to partner with you in providing legal access to resources.
