Is This Journal in Full Text?

A guide to using SFX to locate full text copies of articles.

Have you ever wondered, "Does the library have this journal in full text?" or "I wonder which database has this journal in full text?" SFX can help you answer that question and many more.

SFX is a link resolving software which provides a list of journals available in full text in our library.  What that means for you is SFX will help you find out if the Jessie C. Eury Library has access to a particular journal or journal article in full text.

Search SFX

 

In the SFX Title Search text box, enter a known journal title and click Go.  You can also can click on a letter of the alphabet to browse an alphabetical list of journals available in full text.

This example, Journal of Biblical Literature, is available in full text via ATLA Serials from 1943 to present.  Follow the EBSCOhost ATLA Serials link to read it.

Clicking on one of the database names given for a specific journal allows you to enter more information about the specific year, volume, issue, and start page to locate a specific article.  Click Go to go to this journal in the database, whether you can enter this kind of detail or not.

Some journals are not available in full text via the library databases.  Some are delayed, with the most recent year or two years not yet available because the publisher wants it that way.
