Welcome to AD 490: Developing Ledership in Others Research Guide.  This guide has been put together to highlight resources and services available through the Jessie C. Eury Library to assist you in completing your final paper.

Search Hints: 

• Phrase Searching:  Put quotation marks around search terms that belong together to limit your search results to only items where the terms appear together and in that order such as "servant leadership."
• Vary Your Search Terms:  Many topics may be serached using a variety of search terms so it is important to try different search terms.  For example, searches for Woman, Women, Female, and Gender combinded with the search term Leader found different search results.
• Truncation:  Expand your search by using a question mark (?) after the root word to find search variations.  For example, searching for leader? finds leader, leaders, and leadership and searching fo mentor? finds mentor, mentors, and mentorship.
• Advanced Search:  Advanced Search allows you to combine several different search terms together to either make your search more specific or to expand your search.  
  • AND makes searches more specific such as Servant AND Leader or Women AND Mentors.
  • OR expands your search and is useful when you are searching for synonyms such as Supervisor OR Manager.
